Other projects

Engineering and science communications have always been passions of mine. However, I’m always looking forward to broaden my horizon with new and challenging projects. A non-exhaustive (and quite random) list of projects and experiences in which I took part can be found below.

  • Exploitation of research: technology & knowledge transfer:
5 days training on research valorisation by KU Leuven Research & Development (LRD), including sessions on intellectual property law, industry collaboration and exploitation plans and with a hands-on project on validation of research results. [link]

  • Member of MUN society Belgium:
After intensive coaching on leadership, public speaking, debating and teamwork I took part in the Oxford Model United Nation (OxiMUN) challenge. [link]

  • Volunteer at Humasol:
I volunteered for Humasol, a non-profit that aims at bringing renewable energy to communities in developing countries, by means of projects for engineering students. I took part as project student (2013-2014) and later as a coach (2014-2016). [link]

  • Extra courses on Economy and Management:
I took extra courses on top of my engineering studies (38 ECTS credits), on e.g. micro and macro economics, law, accountancy (2011-2013).

  • Travel guide at Kriskras:
Organizer and guide for domestic and international group travel [link]
